This year our Arts Week focus is on a country in Asia.  We are learning about India.

We got on board the 'magic carpet' and zoomed to India via Google Earth.   We looked at the shape of the country and noticed that it looked like an elephants ear!

Our art has been inspired by the fantastic book, 'The Elephant Dance: A Journey to India' and some amazing artefacts and resources from DEED.

We had an amazing time visiting Tesco's thanks to Phoebe the Tesco Community Worker.  We got to go to places that most people haven't seen.

We got to work on the checkouts, look in the cooler and freezer, taste cheese and bread.  We even found out about fish!

Thank you Phoebe.

A Visit from Mr Harding the Vet

Another Special Visitor!!

As part of our topic "All Creatures Great and Small" we were lucky to welcome another visitor to Lionfish and Starfish. Today, Annie from Monkey World came to talk to us about the work they do to save monkeys. We found out about lots of different monkeys, what they like to eat, how they play and what they look like. The children were amazing and showed a super understanding, asked some excellent questions and listened extremely well. We are all very proud of you Starfish and Lionfish! Annie said you were one of the best group of school children she has visited!
